主なおでかけ情報源は、北区ニュースです（イヤ、ほんとに）。北区ニュースを見て、何かあったらすぐ行動します。だって、近いんだもの。

今回のお出かけコースは、荒川沿いのごみ拾いです。（⇒おでかけか？）

The outing course this time is picking up trash along the Arakawa River.

さて、ごみ拾いは一応申込が必要です。ごみ袋を配布したり、人数を把握する必要があるからですかね。私とはっちゃんが行ったときは、こんな小さな幼児とお母さんというコンビが珍しく、「お嬢ちゃん、えらいね～♡」とチヤホヤされていました。子供って何しても褒められていいな～！（⇒君も昔そうだったんだよ）

When Hacchan and I went, a combination of such a small infant and mother was unusual, and I was sick of saying, “Oh my daughter, I’m great~♡”. Children can be praised no matter what! ごみ拾いは良い事した気になれるし、適度に運動になるし、楽しかったです！

たった一人でごみ拾いしても誰も褒めてくれないしつまんないですが、みんなでやると楽しいですよね。ごみ拾いももはや一つのイベントです。

私とはっちゃんがごみ拾いした時はまだそんなにごみ拾いも「オサレ」な感じじゃなかったと思いますが、いま、荒川のごみ拾いを検索したらこんなホームページがあったんですよね！

荒川でごみ拾いをする団体はいくつかあるようですが、この団体はクリーンエイドと言って検索ページの中で目立ってましたよ。面倒なことや汚いことなどを明るくみんなで取り組むと、たのしくなりますよね。このホームページもとってもいい感じです。

There seem to be some groups that pick up trash in Arakawa, but this group was called Clean Aid and was noticeable in the search page. It would be fun if everyone cheerfully tackles troublesome and dirty things. This homepage is very nice.

しかし、意外にごみ拾いの参加者（特にお年寄り）は熱心にごみを拾っていたので、私たちが到着した１０時過ぎには目立ったごみは除去されていました。

However, surprisingly, the participants who picked up the trash (especially the elderly) were enthusiastic about picking up the trash, and the noticeable trash was removed by 10 o’clock when we arrived.

はっちゃん：「まま～！ごみないよ～」

わたし：「そうだね～！あっちの方に行ってみよう！」

もっと早い時間にあればごみも沢山あったのかもしれません。次回参加の際は、もう少し早めに行った方がいいかも、と思いました。

ごみ拾いを続けると、自分もごみを捨てない人間になれます

とは言え、ごみ拾いをしていると途中で「なんでこんなものが落ちてるの？持って帰ればいいじゃん！」と思うものが沢山落ちています。お菓子や日用品を包装していたであろうビニール袋の破片。日に焼けて文字が消えかかっていますが、これが川に入ったらお魚かわいそうだし、最終的には捨てた人間をも苦しめますよ。

と、いう訳で、約３０分くらいで今回のごみ拾いはおわってしまったんですが、レジャーシートやボールを持っていくと、そのままそこで子供と遊べるのがポイント高いです♪

コロナで緊急事態宣言になっていた５．６月。小学校も営業されず、公園にも来るなということだったんで、赤羽に住む多くの家族連れは荒川沿いに来ていました。ザリガニやカニが釣れるし、屋外だから密じゃないし、ということで。北区の花火大会のときも、この荒川の土手沿いは多くの人が訪れます。
