[Kita-ku] I made the flower arrangement experience a child ♡

女の子って手作りが好きな子が多いですよね♪うちの子供・はっちゃんが幼稚園の時は「アクアビーズ」というおもちゃが流行ってました。

Many girls like handmade ♪ When my child, Hatchan, was in kindergarten, a toy called “Aqua beads” was popular.

あと、「ねるねるねるね」とkuracieの食玩はしょっちゅう買ってました。（たまに今も買いますｗ）

Also, I often bought kuracie’s candy toys, saying “Nerunerunerune”. (I still buy it once in a while)

そんな訳で、今回の「東京の小学生とおでかけ！」のテーマは子供とフラワーアレンメント体験です。

That’s why the theme of this “Going out with elementary school students in Tokyo!” Is a flower arrangement experience with children.

北区まちゼミでクリスマス・フラワー連ジメントの講座がありました

There was a Christmas flower rendezvous course at the Kita Ward Town Seminar

フラワーアレンジメントは初の体験です。以前、クリスマスリースを子供と作ったことはあります。その時、植物を使って飾りを作るのは木や実に触れながら名前も覚えるので（これは普通に楽しいし、知育にも良いしイイね★）と思いました。

Flower arrangement is my first experience. I’ve made Christmas wreaths with my kids before. At that time, I thought that making decorations using plants is good because I can remember the name while touching the trees and fruits (this is usually fun and good for education ★).

そんな中、家のポストに「北区まちゼミ」のチラシが入りました。北区まちゼミとは、東京都北区と北区商店街連合会が後援している「地域の人々」と「地域のお店」をつなぐ新しい試みです。

Meanwhile, a leaflet of “Kita-ku Town Seminar” was posted on the mailbox of my house. The Kita-ku Town Seminar is a new attempt to connect “local people” and “local shops” sponsored by the Kita-ku, Tokyo and Kita-ku Shopping District Association.

新しい試みとは、自分の家から行ける区内のお店で無料または格安の講座が受けられるというものです。お店の人は集客したいので宣伝になりますし、講座を受ける人もお店の人ならではのノウハウを得られるので一石二鳥。地域も潤い、まさにWIN－WINの地域活性化プロジェクトなのです。（⇒考えた人、頭いいー！）

The new attempt is to get free or cheap courses at shops in the ward that you can reach from your own home. The shop staff wants to attract customers, so it will be advertised, and the people who take the course will also get the know-how unique to the shop staff, so two birds with one stone. The area is also moisturized, and it is truly a WIN-WIN regional revitalization project.(⇒Those who think, smart!)

北区まちゼミの講座は始まった当初より充実してきた気がします。迷いましたが、日程や子供と一緒にできそうなものってことでフラワーアレンジメント（１時間くらいで親子で2,000円）を選びました。

I feel that the Kita Ward Town Seminar course has been fulfilling since the beginning. I was at a loss, but I chose a flower arrangement (2,000 yen for parents and children in about an hour) because of the schedule and things that could be done with children.

予約の方法は電話でした

The reservation method was by phone

北区まちゼミの講座の受付方法は講座により異なります。ネット申込みができるものもあれば、電話予約だけの講座もあります。

The reception method for the Kita-ku Town Seminar course differs depending on the course. Some can apply online, while others only make phone reservations.

フラワーアレンジメントの場合（実際はクリスマスアレンジメントでした；）、チラシがポストに入っていた日から１０日後くらいの予約開始日以降に電話をしなくてはいけませんでした。忘れそうなので、Googleカレンダーに「フラワーアレンジメント　電話予約」と書き込んでおきました。

In the case of flower arrangements (actually it was a Christmas arrangement;), I had to call after the reservation start date, about 10 days after the leaflet was posted. I’ll forget it, so I wrote “Flower Arrangement Phone Reservation” on Google Calendar.

クリスマスアレンジメントの当日、またまた遅刻してしまいました；私は一日を常にやることで一杯にしてぎゅうぎゅうにするのが好きなのです。（⇒バカだね！）しかし、そのせいで遅刻が少し多いので気をつけねば、、。

I was late again on the day of the Christmas arrangement; I like to fill up and crawl all day long. (⇒ You’re stupid!) However, because of that, I’m a little late, so I have to be careful.

Google Mapを見ながら、JR上中里駅から歩くこと10分。古河庭園の横の道を下っていきます。なんか黒くておしゃれなログハウスみたいな一軒家があり、同じ北区だけど我が家と全然違う感じ、、！

10minutes walk from JR Kami-Nakazato station while looking at Google Map.Go down the road next to Furukawa Garden. There is a house that looks like a black and fashionable log house, and although it is in the same Kita Ward, it feels completely different from my home!

わたし「はっちゃん！あった、あった！花屋さん！」

はっちゃん「えっ！どれ？」

なんだかお洒落な外観のお店が本日のフラワーアレンジメント教室の会場です。こちらのお店は竹ノ塚店と２店舗あるようです。

The shop with a fashionable appearance is the venue for today’s flower arrangement class. It seems that there are two stores here, the Takenotsuka store.

参加者は３組７名で先生は花屋オーナーの若い男性でした

There were 3 groups of 7 participants, and the teacher was a young man who owned a flower shop.

レジでお金を払うと、小さなテーブル（2人掛け）に案内されました。テーブルには松ぼっくりや小さな赤い実などの材料がセットされていました。

When I paid at the cash register, I was taken to a small table (for two). Materials such as pine cones and small red fruits were set on the table.

参加者は私を含めて大人３名、子供が４名です。子供はみんな同じくらいの年齢だったので、なんかホッとしました。

Participants are 3 adults and 4 children, including myself. All the kids were about the same age, so I was relieved.

パーツをワイヤーでくくりつけ、白い木箱にセットしていきます

Attach the parts with a wire and set them in a white wooden box.

今回はクリスマスリースを作るのではなくアレンジメントです。白い１５cm四方くらいの木箱にワイヤーをつけた自然のパーツを入れていきます。木箱の底には緑色のスポンジのような「オアシス」というものが入れられている、と教えてもらいました。そこにワイヤーを刺して固定します。

This time it’s an arrangement rather than a Christmas wreath. I will put natural parts with wires in a white wooden box about 15 cm square.
I was told that the bottom of the wooden box contains a green sponge-like “oasis”. Stick a wire there and fix it.

小さい実はちからを入れると「ボキっ！」と折れてしまったので、丁寧に制作するのがポイントだと思います。

When I put in a small fruit, it broke with “Boki!”, So I think the point is to make it carefully.

他の親子の会話も聞こえてきて面白い♡

It’s interesting to hear conversations between other parents and children ♡

こういう手作り教室では、まず私が先生の話をしっかり聞き、次にはっちゃんに教える、という形でずっとやってきました。しかし、小学校に入ってからはそんな事しないでも「ママ、次は○○やるんだよね。」と自分で次の工程に進めます。いや～、成長したナ～！

In this kind of handmade classroom, I’ve been listening to the teacher first and then teaching him. However, even if I don’t do that after entering elementary school, I will proceed to the next process by myself, saying, “Mom, I’ll do XX next time.” Yes, She’ve grown up!

同席していた姉妹の妹さんは飽きたらしく、ぐずりだしました。男の子はお母さんともめていて、お母さんから「ちゃんと話を聞いてよ！」とブツブツ言われていました。ヨカッタ。みんなの家もうちとおんなじだぜ～！

The younger sister of the sister who was present seemed tired and started to squirm. The boy was also confused with his mother, and he was always saying, “Listen to me!” Yokatta. Everyone’s house is the same as ours!

太古から全く進化していない花もある

Some flowers have not evolved at all since ancient times

先生はクリスマスアレンジメントの作り方だけでなく、いろいろな花の豆知識も教えてくださいました。例えば、亀のように昔から同じ形を保っている生物がありますが、花にも同じように進化を遂げていない「ワイルドフラワー」があるそうです。

The teacher taught me not only how to make Christmas arrangements, but also various flower trivia. For example, there are creatures such as turtles that have maintained the same shape for a long time, but there are also “wildflowers” that have not evolved in the same way.

その道に詳しい人に説明を聞きながら新しいことを覚えるのは、とても楽しいです。いろいろ聞いたのに、名前とか忘れてしまっているので、次回からはメモしながら聞こうと思います。

It’s a lot of fun to learn new things while listening to explanations from people who are familiar with the path. I’ve heard a lot, but I’ve forgotten the name, so from the next time I’ll take notes and ask.
