鉄道博物館って全国各地にあるんですって。そういえば昔、京都に住んでいた時に「京都鉄道博物館」というのがあった気がします。（⇒いや、あるし！）

There are railway museums all over the country. By the way, I think there used to be the “Kyoto Railway Museum” when I lived in Kyoto. (⇒ No, there is!)

私は小学生の時に江戸川区の葛西にある「地下鉄博物館」が異常にスキだったので、はっちゃんが２歳の頃にさいたま県の大宮にある鉄道博物館に行ってみることにしました。（⇒地下鉄とちょっと違うけど！）

When I was in elementary school, I was unusually fond of the “Subway Museum” in Kasai, Edogawa Ward, so when Hatchan was two years old, I decided to go to the Railway Museum in Omiya, Saitama Prefecture. (⇒ It’s a little different from the subway!)

今回の「東京の小学生とおでかけ！」のテーマは埼玉県大宮駅の隣にある鉄道博物館です。

鉄道博物館へは電車で行くのが王道です。大宮駅からニューシャトルに乗り換え、一駅目の「鉄道博物館駅」という駅で下車します。駅から降りると、そこはミラクル（？！）鉄道ワールドが繰り広げられていますよ♡

The royal road is to go to the Railway Museum by train. Transfer to the New Shuttle from Omiya Station and get off at the first station, “Tetsudo Museum Station”. When you get off the station, there is a miracle (?!) Railway world unfolding ♡

①ここ３～４年で、鉄道博物館のチケット料金は高くなった

鉄道博物館のチケット料金は、公共の博物館にしては（高い）と思いました；（⇒もっと高いとこに沢山行ってるクセに！）

I thought the ticket price for the Railway Museum was expensive) for a public museum; (⇒ to the habit of saying a lot more expensive!)

鉄道だし、博物館なので（？）、料金はだいたい５００円とか６００円くらいなのかな？と思っていました。しかし、実際はこの施設はとても充実していますから、よく考えれば安いと思います。

It’s a railroad and a museum (?), So the fare is about 500 yen or 600 yen? I was thinking. However, in reality, this facility is very substantial, so if you think about it, it will be cheap.

鉄道博物館の現地ではチケットは購入できません。事前に、セブンイレブン、ローソン、ミニストップの各端末で時間指定の「入館券」（枚数限定）を買う必要があります。（⇒コロナのせいでめんどくさいことになったな！）
Tickets cannot be purchased locally at the Railway Museum. In advance, you need to buy a timed “admission ticket” (limited number of tickets) at each terminal of Seven-Eleven, Lawson, and Ministop. (⇒ Corona made me annoyed!)

私は何も前もって情報を入れずに行ったのですが（2016年）、普通にチケットを買うより年間パスポートの方が安い！と思って買いました。確か、年間パスポートが3,000円でした。

I went without any information in advance (2016), but the annual passport is cheaper than buying a regular ticket! I bought it thinking that. Certainly, the annual passport was about 2,000 yen.

しかし、ママ調べでは2018年7月より5,000円になり、2019年9月からは5,100円になっています。まるでディズニーじゃないですかｗ　まあ、ディズニーと同じで、新館ができて遊べるところが増えたので、妥当ですけどね～。

②チケットを割引で買う方法はある？

ママ調べでは、前日までのチケット購入（inコンビニ）で１００円の割引をするか、団体割引か（２０名以上：一人につき150～270円安くなる）、あとはJRの優待券で２０％割引になるそうです。

According to Mama’s research, you can get a 100 yen discount by purchasing a ticket (in convenience store) up to the day before, a group discount (20 people or more: 150 to 270 yen cheaper per person), and a 20% discount with a JR complimentary ticket. It seems to be.

前売りの１００円引き以外はあまり現実的ではないですね～；

鉄道ジオラマは人数制限＆解説プログラムのみに変更！

コロナ時の現在、鉄道ジオラマは自由観覧はできなくなり、１日１１回（！！）の解説プログラムのみに変更になったそうです。（予約不要・時間限定）

At the time of Corona, the railway diorama can no longer be viewed freely, and it seems that it has been changed to a commentary program only 11 times a day (!!). (No reservation required・ Limited time)

ジオラマは大人も小さい子供も目を輝かせる展示です♪ず～っと走る鉄道模型はどれだけ見ても飽きないです♡ちなみに、リニューアル後に観客席との仕切りがなくなりました。

The diorama is an exhibition that makes both adults and small children shine ♪ I never get tired of seeing the model railroad that runs all the time ♡ By the way, after the renewal, there is no partition from the audience seats.

レストランは予約なしでOK！

The restaurant is OK without reservation!

①駅弁をフリースペースで食べる方が多数

レストランは主に「トレインレストラン日本食堂」（電車内で本格的な食事できる）と「キッズカフェ（かわいい♪）」があります。（両方とも予約不要）この他、両端に駅弁屋がありました。エスカレーターを上がって２階の左手にはフリーの飲食できるスペースがあるのですが、そこでは皆さん駅弁を食べてらっしゃいました。

The restaurants are mainly “Train Restaurant Japan Diner” (where you can have a full-fledged meal on the train) and “Kids Cafe (cute ♪)”. (Both do not require reservation) In addition, there were ekiben shops at both ends.
There is a free space where you can eat and drink on the left side of the 2nd floor after going up the escalator, but everyone was eating ekiben there.

②食堂車気分を味わえる２Fの日本食堂

私達は日本食堂に2020年12月27日（日）の１２時過ぎに行きました。店内はあまりお客さんがいなくてビックリ。しかし、私たちがご飯を食べ出したころには続々とお客さんが入ってきました。

料理の価格ですが、サラダ付きで1,300円台～1,900円台がメインです。他にドリンクを付けると一人1,500円～2,200円くらいになります。私たちは一番安いオムライスを食べましたが、ソースが本格的で美味しかったです。（⇒はっちゃんはお子様ランチにしてほしいのに食べないのよね、、！；）

ちなみに、接客の方がとっても感じよくて嬉しくなりました。こんなに気持ちの良い接客を受けたのは久しぶり。さすが、てっぱく♡

③キッズカフェはカジュアルな感じです

キッズカフェにはドーナツやドリンクなどの軽食が販売されています。キッズスペースはコロナで休止中でした。キッズスペースのすぐ外にあるミニ運転パークも休止中でした。残念です、、！

Light meals such as donuts and drinks are sold at the kids cafe. The kids space was dormant in Corona. The mini driving park just outside the kids space was also closed. I’m sorry,,!
